Biff Gentsch- National Sales Manager

As a seasoned veteran of the special events industry, Biff Gentsch was thrilled to join Aztec Tents three and a half years ago. As national sales manager, Biff enjoys traveling the country with Aztec’s regional sales staff, who now services many of the renters he has known over the years, while forging new relationships in the process.

Biff spent twenty years as an independent sales representative for another tent manufacturer and ten other industry related suppliers before joining Aztec in January of 2007. He brings a wealth of hands-on experience in the field, and a deep understanding of the daily and seasonal challenges faced by Aztec’s customers.

As a newly appointed member of the Steering Committee for the Tent Rental Division of the IFAI, Biff looks forward to giving back to the industry that he has been proud to represent over the past twenty-three years. Within that organization, he sits on the Code Task Force Committee whose primary purpose and function is to support the need for code compliance, and ensuring the safety of the general public as well as protecting the tent rental industry as a whole. It is the goal of that committee to achieve this through the dissemination and sharing of information, and the education and training of tent renters throughout the industry. He is eager to hear customers’ specific experiences and challenges, in order to help lead initiatives to better serve our industry. Biff looks forward to continued learning from customers and sharing new and innovative solutions.

“I am fortunate to be surrounded by such an energetic group of dynamic individuals here at Aztec. The passion that I witness for our industry on a daily basis is unparalleled in my experience heretofore.”

After graduating from The Colorado College with a degree in business administration, Biff worked for Amoco Production Company in their management training program. He later worked as a stock broker and then in the hospitality industry before entering the special events industry. It follows naturally that commitment to service and building relationships are integral in his approach to doing business.

“One of the many unique aspects of Aztec that made it such a compelling career choice was their story. Aztec comes from humble beginnings in the rental business. The customer focused fundamentals that were so deeply rooted within our organization that led Aztec to become one of the nation’s most successful special event companies continue to make up the foundation at Aztec today. When a customer calls and has an urgent need because of a change initiated by his client, we understand what they are going through because we have walked in those shoes. I can’t tell you how many times I have heard Chuck Miller say “I can remember when that same thing happened to us, let’s get this customer taken care of”. Responses like that are what make my job so fulfilling and rewarding. I look forward to what each day will bring.”
