Dave Matyasovsky- Regional Account Manager

As one of the newest members of the team, Dave Matyasovsky brings more than five years of special events experience to Aztec Tents. Upon graduating from James Madison University in 2006, Matyasovsky began managing corporate hospitality logistics and operations at the United States Open Championship for Pennsylvania-based MSG Promotions. From 2006 to 2009, he oversaw the construction of more than 200 hospitality venues for 500 clients, encompassing more than 600,000 square feet of tenting. During that time, Matyasovsky also served as operations director for the 2009 United States Women’s Open Golf Championship, helping to design and implement the championship infrastructure and transportation for more than 80,000 spectators.

Following his work at the US Open, Matyasovsky worked at Classic Party Rentals in Chicago as a project manager. “I was a client of Aztec’s before I was an employee, and after experiencing that level of quality and professionalism, I knew it was a team I wanted to be a part of,” said Matyasovsky. “They were an invaluable resource in the field and I knew I could count on them to be responsive, easy to work with, and most of all, reliable.” Matyasovsky oversaw the events for the newly acquired contract with NASCAR’s Sprint Cup Series, as well as projects including weddings, corporate events, concerts, and temporary barracks at Fort Polk, Louisiana.

Matyasovsky joined Aztec in August of 2010 as a regional account manager for the northwest United States. He alternates his time between his home office and visiting customers in northern California, Oregon, Washington, Montana, Idaho, Wyoming and Alaska. “I’ve always been amazed at the event industry” he said. “Most people will never know the weeks, months and sometimes years of planning it takes to pull off an event that may only last one night. To do this, clients need a tent vendor with great products and people who want their event to succeed as much as they do. I experienced that in the field when I worked with Aztec, and now I’m experiencing it while working for Aztec.”
