If you are looking for a traditional-design frame tent, with modern-day amenities, look no further. Our Traditional Frame Tent is constructed with a structural aluminum frame and durable 16 oz. blockout white vinyl tent-top covering. Stainless steel perimeter buckles are sewn through three layers of heavy duty reinforcing and feature a replaceable wall rope line to allow for fixing in the field. The fabric sections are available in expandable and one-piece designs allowing you versatility when you need it. The two primary methods for connecting expandable tent roof sections together include clasp connection and lace connection. The Clasp connection is typical on 20' wide and smaller tent tops, and the lace connection is typical on 30' wide and larger tent tops. Either connection method can be used on any size.
Wide Interior Spaces:
The standard frame tent provides an unobstructed interior space with the classic scalloped valance
Stainless Steel Buckles:
The tent top connects to the frame with a series of evenly spaced perimeter buckles
Expandable Connections:
Lace system combined with weather flap to connect expandable sections
Versatile Frame Design:
Many parts are interchangeable between sizes
A Traditional (West Coast Style) Frame Tent uses an aluminum frame to support the structure, eliminating the need for center poles. This creates an open interior layout with greater flexibility for seating, staging, dance floors, and other event elements. Pole tents rely on center and perimeter poles and require staking around the tent's footprint.
Traditional Frame Tents are an good choice for short-term events, weddings, festivals, and rental inventories where quick installation and versatility are important. If you need larger widths, longer installation periods, reduced labor costs of installation & removal or greater engineering capabilities for demanding environments, a Jumbotrac Lite or Jumbotrac may be a better fit.
Yes. Traditional Frame Tents can often be installed on asphalt, concrete, and other hard surfaces using appropriate anchoring methods. The best anchoring solution depends on the site conditions and local requirements.
Yes, Traditional Frame Tents can be secured using ballasts when staking is not possible (such as on concrete or asphalt). However, ballast requirements vary based on tent size, wind loads, and local regulations. It’s critical to use properly engineered ballast systems and follow manufacturer guidelines to ensure the structure is safely anchored.
In general, ballasting will require significantly more weight than staking, and in some cases, additional bracing or engineering may be recommended.
If you're planning to use ballasts regularly, it's a good idea to work with our team to determine the appropriate configuration for your specific tent size and typical jobsite conditions. Learn more about tent ballasting HERE.
Traditional Frame Tents are available in a variety of widths (up to 40’ wide) and lengths and can often be expanded with additional sections to accommodate larger events. Our team can help determine the most efficient configuration based on your needs.
Yes. Traditional Frame Tents have long been a staple of successful rental fleets because they offer broad event versatility, attractive appearance, and efficient installation. Their modular design allows rental companies to serve a wide range of event types using the same tent system. In recent years we've seen a shift where more rental companies are opting to invest in kedered systems like Jumbotrac® Lite and Jumbotrac® which offer increased strength, reduced installation times, and higher engineering capabilities.
